If you’re on LinkedIn, you’ve probably joined lots of interest groups. You can rearrange the group order so when you want to visit, your favorites are at the top. Here’s a how-to video that shows you how easy it is to reorder the navigation.
When you upload a video on YouTube, you can already have defaults set so you don’t have to keep making the same changes. For example, when I upload a new video, I want it to stay private until after I add my annotations; I have text I want in every description; my category is always the same Science and Technology, and so on. I can always change this on individual videos when needed.
Here’s a video I just recorded that will show you how to set this up.
I’m creating a new Website that’s similar to one that I had years ago…a site that’s long ago deleted. I have the files from this site saved on an old laptop that barely boots up, and when it does, it lasts for no more than a minute or two.
Two Ways to Find Oldies
I went to the Internet’s archive, the WayBack Machine. I typed in my old URL, and my entire site came into view. I copied the text on each page, and pasted it in Notepad (to strip out any trashy code that may have been added by publishing the site in FrontPage), and pasted that text onto pages in the new blog. Worked great.
In a previous post, I’d written about how I’d deleted an article in my blog by mistake and how I was able to retrieve it in Google’s Cache (storage from the last time my site had been indexed). I’ve included instructions on how to do that in this video.
Good luck finding what you need. If you have some other ideas, please leave a comment below.
The Google Plus and YouTube integration has taken a giant step. You’ll no longer have to upload videos from your YouTube channel to Google Plus. If you show your Google Plus profile on your YouTube channel, your channel will appear on Google Plus. Yes!
Here’s a quick video I recorded to demo how to do it (on a non-partner channel).
If search engine optimization is part of your business marketing strategy, Google Plus and YouTube are definitely the place to be.
I love the new Twitter layout. It’s rolling out and my account was just updated yesterday. I’d recorded a video series on how to create a customized background using PowerPoint, and the last video in the series shows how to upload a new jpeg design to your profile.
This new video is an update. And if you’d like to try creating a new background using PowerPoint, it’s all on my YouTube channel.
If the video series helps, I hope you’ll share it with your network. And feel free to embed it into your Website or blog.
