Four Features for Your YouTube Channel You MUST Use If Nothing Else (with videos)

Don’t just stick videos out on YouTube…build a channel! And don’t spend more time with it than you need to…learn these timesaving tips.

Defaults You Set to Forget

When you upload a video on YouTube, you can already have defaults set so you don’t have to keep making the same changes. For example, when I upload a new video, I want it to stay private until after I add my annotations; I have text I want in every description; my category is always the same Science and Technology, and so on. I can always change this on individual videos when needed.

UPDATE to video: To get to Defaults, go to Video Manager and click Channel Settings. Or from your home page, hover your mouse just under your banner and a pencil will appear on the right. Click that, then Channel Settings.

Adding to Descriptions (in Bulk) After You’ve Published

Have you wanted to add a URL or some additional contact information to your YouTube video description? Perhaps you’ve wanted to change monetization or some other setting to multiple videos. You’ll be delighted to discover that you don’t have to change each video individually! This video shows you  how to make multiple changes at once.

Associated Website and Link to It with Annotations

Associated Website annotations provide verified partners who are in good standing a way to annotate to their associated Websites directly from their videos. You can check if your channel meets this criteria on the YouTube Settings/Features page. This video shows you how to set that up. Be sure to also check out the video I mention on how to create an annotation.
